Acorns Children’s Hospice – WordPress Web Design, Responsive Solution …

Our five year relationship with Midlands based children’s charity Acorns has been renewed with an exciting and ambitious website refresh project. The aim is to bring Acorn’s current website up-to-date, giving it a fresh new look and feel. To do this, we will be creating a fully responsive, mobile-friendly website using WordPress and ground breaking new tools such as Divi 2.4 to make the website as user-friendly and customisable as possible.

The new project is being delivered by the web development and marketing team here at Opace, the UX and strategy team over at 383 and the design team at Wow Creative. It is expected to go live this September and will give the children’s charity full control over their website, along with access to some of the most advanced content management capabilities available.

Previous Acorns project work

This isn’t the first time we’ve worked with the team at Acorns. Over the last five or so years, we’ve provided a full range of services including a complex Joomla development project which was jointly delivered with design agency WM Creative, SEO strategy and support, Magento and WordPress integration. Within a very tight 12 week deadline we created the current website for Acorns and developed over 129 pages in time for the launch date – but that was five years ago and with the 2015 project we’re working to even tighter deadlines. The good news is that web technologies have come a long way in five years.

SEO and online marketing work

Acorns have seen excellent results from the SEO work we’ve helped them with, including some great page 1 search terms. It was our aim to help the children’s hospice increase their search rankings in order to drive additional traffic through to their website and increase brand awareness.

Speaking about our work with Acorns, Digital Marketing Manager, Dawn Curnyn said:

“David and the team at Opace provide invaluable technical support for both our website and SEO campaign. We are seeing some some great results from their work and look forward to working on future projects together.”

Opace is currently working on the web development project for Acorns and will report back when the site is complete. We look forward to sharing the finished result with you.
