Melbourne Video Production: Web Video That Works

We supported PressJam because we believe in bringing worthy causes closer to the people. We know how important it is for companies and non-profit organizations to establish websites that work for them.

Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB) December 23, 2013

In November, the WordPress User Group in Melbourne organised PressJam: WordPress for Good, a collaborative event to create brand new websites for free for different non-profit groups. The event was initiated by Dee Teal, a front-end web developer and Glenn Todd, founder and director of Dvize Creative, a web design and development company based in Melbourne.

Teal and Todd chose four diverse non-profit organisations out of fifteen applications. The WordPress User group worked from November 15 to November 16 at Inspire9, a local working space, dividing almost 40 volunteers into four groups consisting of project managers, designers, developers and content creators and then matching these groups with the four clients. The groups then worked with the clients to create complete websites, from conceptualisation to implementation, in just 2 days.

Melbourne Video Production, a division of Melbourne SEO services, served as a video sponsor for the event. The production house created a short film to document the collaborative event. The documentary did not only capture the essence of the special project but also captured the fun moments that the volunteers and the clients had at PressJam.

“We supported PressJam because we believe in bringing worthy causes closer to the people. We know how important it is for companies and non-profit organisations to establish websites that work for them. Since we are in the business of SEO and video production, it was only natural for us to volunteer our skills in making professional videos to the project,” remarked Mr. David Jenyns, director of Melbourne Video Production.

The groups that received complimentary websites from the group were: Clean Energy for Health, Knit Your Revolt, Carlton Primary School, and Lentil as Anything. The websites were created so that the not-for-profit organisations can establish a strong online presence to further advance their causes. Because of PressJam, the organisations can use their limited resources on other projects.

“It’s a fantastic initiative… for a not-for profit it’s a wonderful gift,” said Fiona Armstrong, an advocate for Clean Energy for Health, one of the clients.
