September 12 (Renewables Now) – PPC Renewables SA, a unit of Greek utility PPC SA (ATH:PPC), has extended by a week the deadline in a tender for the construction of a 10-MW wind park on the largest of the Ionian Islands.
The company launched the competitive tender process in July and accepted proposals by September 10. According to a notice on the EU’s Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) interested parties will be able to submit bids by September 24.
The tender covers the design, procurement, transport, installation and commissioning of the wind farm in Xerakias Dilinata, Kefalonia municipality, as well as the operation and maintenance (OM) of the wind farm for a period of 14 years. The total indicative cost of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) portion of the contract is estimated at EUR 9.4 million (USD 10.9m), while OM services are valued at EUR 3.5 million, excluding value added tax (VAT).
No reasons were provided for the deadline extension.
