Top 5 SEO Strategies For People Who Hate SEO – Forbes

Many people think SEO is all about technical, behind-the-scenes tasks that help your site rank in Google. While there is definitely a technical aspect to SEO, there are also some extremely simple strategies anyone can use to improve their rankings.

When it really comes down to it, Google wants your website to provide the best possible experience for your visitors. If you understand the basics of SEO and can think like a user, you’re on the right track.

This post will look at the top five strategies that I’ve been implementing for my company Due that even non-technical SEO-haters can use to improve their SEO.

1. Write tons of amazing content

If there’s only one strategy you use after reading this post, this should be it. If you’re regularly adding truly amazing content to your site, it’s possible to rank even without doing anything else.

It’s well known that the more content you produce, the higher your rankings (to a point). As long as that content is of good quality, the more words and phrases you can potentially rank for.

According to Hubspot, the number of blog posts published directly correlates with rankings. Their research found that companies with 16+ blog posts per month got almost 3.5x more traffic than those who only published 0-4.

While 16+ posts a week may not be a realistic goal for many business owners, I recommend publishing at least two to three posts per week. This will give you a great chance of ranking without putting too much of a strain on your time.

2. Make sure your content is long enough

Unfortunately, not all content is created equal. Content that’s too short, too “thin” or that doesn’t adequately cover your topic will be unlikely to rank; in fact, this type of content can even lead to a manual action against your site.
