Google Has Spent Over $1.4 Billion On Acquisitions This Year

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)–Google Inc. (GOOG) said Wednesday it spent over $1.4 billion on acquisitions in the first nine months of this year, as the Internet search giant seeks to expand into new markets such as local deals and travel services.
